Blogg new my hometown

My hometown is Chiriquí, a province located in the western part of Panama. It is a very special place, full of natural beauty, culture, and traditions that make it unique.

Chiriquí is known for its rivers, mountains, and fertile lands. Many families enjoy spending weekends by the river, swimming, or sharing meals together. The farms in the countryside are also an important part of our economy, producing coffee, vegetables, and fruits that are recognized across the country.

In the city of David, the capital of Chiriquí, we can find important institutions such as the mayor’s office, hospitals, schools, and universities. The Cathedral of San José is one of the most important churches, located right in the center of the city, where people gather for mass and community events.

One of my favorite places to visit is the farmers market, known as “El Mercado de David.” There, farmers sell fresh products every day, from fruits and vegetables to seafood and local crafts. It is a lively place where you can truly experience the warmth and culture of the people of Chiriquí.

Chiriquí also has beautiful touristic places such as the beaches of Las Lajas, the highlands of Boquete, and Volcán Barú, the highest point in Panama. These are special spots where visitors can enjoy nature, adventure, and

Our traditions are also very important. Every year, we celebrate fairs and festivals that highlight our folklore, such as the Feria Internacional de David, which attracts visitors from different parts of Panama and other countries. Folkloric events with music, dances, and traditional dresses show the pride we have for our culture and heritage.

Chiriquí is more than just a province; it is home. It is a place full of charm, diversity, and opportunities to explore. From its rivers and mountains to its markets and festivals, my hometown always has something beautiful to offer.
